Under the direction of Professor Nils Loof, a project with the working title PARAFLEX is being created, which is particularly innovative thanks to its mixture of 360-degree VR technology and ‘classic’ mockumentary elements. The centrepiece of the series is the exciting story of Sarah, a young computer scientist who is working with her fellow student Lukas on the development of a 360-degree VR camera. But when Lukas disappears without a trace, an eerie journey begins for Sarah. The newly developed camera records things that shouldn't actually exist - an indication that something paranormal is at play here?
The series relies on a varied episode structure, with episodes lasting between two and twelve minutes and alternating between them: The first episode is a 360-degree VR film that immerses viewers directly into the eerie atmosphere. This is followed by a conventional mockumentary that presents the horror in a seemingly documentary way. This is followed by another immersive 360-degree film.
