From 19 to 23 November, the two films ‘Schattenboxen’ and ‘Pressure’ were presented at the Up-and-Coming Festival. Schattenboxen is the bachelor film by Rene Holze, Samuel Gasparini and Alexander Brunn. Jette Müller has just been accepted into the first semester of the programme; her film Pressure was her application film. The Up-and-Coming Festival is one of the most prestigious festivals for young talent in Europe. Numerous future Oscar and Lola award winners gained their first festival experience here. The film ‘Konterbier’ by film students Vincent Bellersen, Gil Hack and Lea von Reitzenstein celebrated its world premiere in Naples in December at the Pulcinella Film Festival. ‘Langzeitherzen’ is the title of the short film by students Nemo Witte, Omar Al Al Khatib, Eric Demann, Lisanne Ehlers and David Sperling, which will be screened at the 26th Bamberg Short Film Festival from 15 to 21 December 2025. The film was made as part of the 3rd semester film project course. The Bamberg Short Film Festival is the oldest short film festival in Bavaria; directors such as Tom Tykwer, Detlev Buck and Andreas Dresen have already shown their work here.
With over 30 years of film education at Hanover University of Applied Sciences and Arts, it continues to assert its place in the international field of young talent—with current topics and diverse creative forms.
