Under the direction of head writer Ruth Rehmet, the scripts for the individual episodes were finalised in three work phases. The series focuses on the historical criminal case of serial killer Fritz Haarmann, who claimed over 20 victims in the 1920s. The creative core team around Ruth Rehmet consists of writers Michael Demuth and Nils Loof as well as director Nicolai Rohde. Jan Philip Lange is the executive producer at Junifilm. The project is scheduled for completion in 2027.
