This year, there was a particular focus on the German film industry: Germany was the official focus country of the Nordic Film Market and TV Drama Vision. Franziska Pohlmann (Bold & Salty), Nils Loof (Junifilm) and Silke Merzhäuser (werkgruppe 2) participated in the TV Drama Vision and Nordic Film Market industry programmes on behalf of nordmedia. During the four days of the festival, they attended trade events, pitchings and panels and held numerous discussions with international industry representatives. The delegation was accompanied by networker Noemi Ferrer-Schwenk, who had already introduced the producers to the structures and special features of the Nordic production market in advance. During the festival, she assisted the delegation with scheduling, accompanied selected meetings with producers and thus supported a structured exchange between the participants. One item on the agenda was an exchange with the Danish Film Institute on funding models and possible German-Danish co-productions. The delegation also met with various world sales companies at the Nordic Film Market to explore distribution strategies and market potential for German projects. In addition, the team took part in Creative Europe Matchmaking, which facilitated structured one-to-one meetings with European partners. In addition to individual exchanges, cooperation within the German delegation was also an important part of the trip. Participants included: German Films, the German Federal Film Board (FFA), FFF Bayern, Film- und Medienstiftung NRW, Hessen Film & Medien, Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg, MOIN Filmförderung and Mitteldeutsche Medienförderung (MDM).
The delegation helped to place projects from Lower Saxony and Bremen in the European industry context.
